This beauty was created in collaboration with Robin @birchhollowfibers to make every woman feel classy, beautiful and timeless with its pleated collar, high curved front with a cocoon back and cape-style sleeves.
Rose Marie (/ROZ.MAH.REE/) , my maternal mother’s name, is the name I decided to go with to also pay homage to my late grandmother. I grew up with my grandmother always home with us while my mother was at work. I remember her making flowers out of ribbons to sell or sewing something for herself or someone in the neighborhood. My grandmother was always a strong woman with a mind and mouth to match. She was never afraid to stand up for herself and what she believed in. I like to think I inherited my love of any creative work from both her and my mother and my strong will from grandmè.
THE YARN
I used Birch Hollow Fibers’ Whiskey with Grace on Phillis Dk which is part of her 5 Swans series dyed especially to honor her grandmother and sisters. She offers 4 different bases in each of the colorways in the series. Phillis Dk is 100% superwash merino wool and 250 yards / 115g / 228.6 m per hank.
The pattern is available FREE with proof of sweater quantity yarn purchase from Birch Hollow Fibers.
