Hiya! I’m Kunbi, the designer and maker behind Handmade by Kunbi. I started knitting and crocheting at the age of 8 and although I abandoned both crafts from when I was a teenager until well into my 30s, I pretty much hit the ground running when I decided to pick up my knitting needles and crochet hooks again. I enjoy creating fun patterns and designs that you would love to make and wear, whether you’re a beginner or seasoned knitter/crocheter.
I’m a project manager in a medical communications agency and an entrepreneur. I live in the United Kingdom with my husband and our two highly energetic girls. I love coffee and love to read, listen to music, dance, workout and hang out with my family. I’m a Christian, a geek at heart, love to laugh all the laughs, highly energetic and I get excited pretty easily!
I love lace stitches and I love working on projects with stitch patterns that are easy to remember. The Lydia Lace Crochet Cowl is a quick project to work on and an absolute joy to make. The stitches are so easy to remember that you can most definitely Netflix and crochet. Just make sure you don’t get carried away and carry on crocheting way past the length you want! I’m so excited to share this pattern with you; I hope to see photos of your finished project on social media. Have fun and happy crocheting.

Seaming
Lay your cowl flat, right side facing up. Bring the sides together and seam using your preferred seaming method – I tend to gravitate towards the mattress seaming stitch.

Weave in all ends, turn your work right side round and you’re done! Now do your little shimmy and rock that baby!
